| FANCY FOOT WORK FOR THE SUMMER |
| Written by MsPrettyGirl | |
Ladies! … I think, I can officially say summer is here. With that being said, you know it's about that time to pamper those feet of yours. Yes pretty girls, we wouldn’t want you to wear those nice pair of sandals with chipped nail polish and cracked feet- right?
I hope not. Let’s take some time to relax and to treat ourselves to a nice pedicure at the spa. For all the divas who prefer to do their own pedicure, check out how to create the spa ambiance at home.
Things you will need -Foot Spa or a Basin with warm water -Nail clipper -Epsom Salt ( scented- Lavender would be a nice touch) -Peppermint oil -Q tips Nail polish remover -Exfoliating Scrub Buffer -Toes Separator -Body butter /lotion -Base & Top Coat and Favorite nail polish-(OPI has long last polishes and a variation of colors!) -Towel Scented Candles (optional)
Light up some of your favorite scented candles.Start off by adding warm water, Peppermint oil and Epsom salt to your foot spa or basin.
Soak your feet in the mixture, lay back and relax for 10-15 minutes. Gently rub an exfoliating scrub all over your feet. Dip your feet back in the water and dry completely with a towel.
If needed, trim your toe nails. Make sure to cut them straight across. Be sure to moisturize your feet with a body butter or thick lotion. One of my favorites is the coconut body butter from the body shop. It smells Sooo Good!
Just in case you have any ridges on your toe nails, lightly buff nails until they become smooth and shiny. Now is the time to put on your toe separators and pick your favorite nail color.
Apply one layer of any base coat. Let dry for about a minute. Next, apply two layers of the nail polish. Hot pink, yellow and blue are the hit colors for this summer.
Dare to be bold!
Last but not least, apply one layer of top coat to shield the color in and to make it last longer.
Fab Tip: Made a mistake while painting your toes? Don’t worry about it. Let the nail polish dry completely. Take your Q-tip and dip it in some nail polish remover. Take your time and clean up wherever needs to be cleaned. Easy right? |
