| Summer is On! And so are Prints |
| Written by dom | |||||
I previously made a statement about how people become slaves to new trends and how to avoid it. And it's not like i am taking it back, but after watching a few fashion shows of the biggest collections for "Summer 2010" I myself have become a trend follower .
As usual, I saw a lot of fancy and complicated looking outfits, but what impressed me the most was the big comeback of clean looking prints.
I was taken by the simplicity and comfort of the items shown. As much as I would like to say I am not the biggest fan of prints, I have to give the designers credit for their work.
Out of all the different items that I saw, Printed dresses, shirts, scarfs and skirts got my utmost attention. The prints on the items did not overwhelm me by being too bright or too big, they were just perfectly fitted onto the clothing.
I never thought I would be thinking about getting a dress or a t-shirt with the print on it, but if I can find something that looks half as good as what I saw on the runway this season, I just may give it a shot.
Dries Van Noten and Blumarine have changed my opinion on prints forever. I haven't seen anything so cute and pretty in a while, and their "Ready To Wear" collections sold out so quickly it shocked both companies.
